This club was originally founded by Dr. Robert Panara. It popularity found it growing into what we now know of as NTID The Performing Arts Program. In 1998 Khara Austie, a student, re-established MDC to insure that student - driven Sign Language theater projects had a place to develop. Since that time MDC has toured shows for events and done a regular Holiday show for the NTID community. Our mission is to help expose people to theater that uses Sign Language in the hopes that it will inspire more theater work of all types for Deaf performers and backstage workers.
MDC has weekly meetings Fridays from 1-2:30 in the Green Room in LBJ to discuss and plan projects that would bring theater to the community so far we've done...
